The above sculpture is from a presentation that was created by three International architecture graduate school students from Virginia Tech. The presentation is based on World Trade Center Site Memorial Proposal #790373, titled The Emergence of Freedom. 


The sculpture depicts the five Stages of Life:


  • Youth - Establish Belonging
  • Young Adult - Develop an Identity
  • Adult -  Acquire an Awareness, of not just living, but of Being.
  • Middle Age - Create Stability 
  • Senior - Display Integrity and pass down Wisdom

​The Value of Being Timeless

The Antonio Drej Project is named after Antonio Ferri and Andrej Oravec, two European immigrants who arrived in America in the early 1900's. Both went through the US Port of Arrival at Ellis Island, located in New York City and eventually became US Citizens. They arrived, by themselves, to pursue their American Dream.


The Antonio Drej Project is envisioned to be a collection of inspirational thoughts and quotes from everyday people, preferably by the Baby Boom Generation (1946-1964) or older. This generation or older generally has the integrity and wisdom to pass down to "La Bella Verita". 


Back of the Business Card is a series of inspirational quotes for each day of a 3 year cycle. Each inspiration is based on daily Christian readings.


Reflecting on the Morning E Mail

​The book is a combination of "Thoughts of the Day" e mails and personal stories while under contract at NASA Headquarters in Washington DC. The

e mails are arranged as Thoughts on Life's Lessons for the next generation of "La Bella Verita" (Italian for "The Beautiful Truth"). They are categorized into three parts of Life, each part dependent on the previous.
